आइसल्याण्ड ज्वालामुखी: यसरी जलिरहेछ पृथ्वी



काठमाडौँ। भूकम्प गएको १५ महिनापछि आइसल्याण्डको राजधानी रेक्याविकमा विष्फोट भएको ज्वालामुखीको लाभा अझै निस्किने क्रम जारी छ। उक्त लाभाको चमक करीब ३२ किलोमिटरको दूरीबाटै देख्‍न सकिन्छ।

ज्वालामुखीको उक्त विष्फोट फग्राडल्स माउन्टेनमा रहेको टाकुराबाट भएको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सञ्‍चारमाध्‍यमहरुले उल्लेख गरेका छन्। यो ज्वालामुखी करीब ८ सय वर्षमा पहिलोपटक विष्फोट भएको जनाइएको छ।

केही हप्ता पहिले आइसल्याण्डमा भूकम्पको हजारौ धक्का महसूस गरिएको थियो। त्‍यसपश्चात मौसम विभागले चेतावनी दिएको थियो। यता, ज्वालामुखी विस्फोट धेरै टाढा भए पनि सरकारले ढोका बन्‍द नगरी घरमै बस्‍न नागरिकलाई अपिल गरेको छ।
